Day 14: Share something you're looking forward to
I'm really looking forward to the holidays this year. To me, it's never been about the presents. It's the family time, the traditions, that make it special. Now that Sophie is a little older I'm excited to see her reaction to things like the Christmas tree, and to incorporate in the advent calendar I made. I only wish I had done that years ago when Emma was little so she could grow up with it, also.
I can't wait to see the girls open their gifts (some I'm making this year), decorate the tree together, bake cookies, I even hope it snows a little!
I love the holidays, such a great time for families to come together and remember what's really important!
ReplyDeleteI must say, I too enjoy the holidays ... the feel in the air. In the past few years, I've come to enjoy the whole 'Thanksgiving' get together- something which, when I lived in other countries, was not so much a part of my life- I do enjoy the way it brings family and friends together...and I love the idea of being thankful....hey and Christmas- who doesn't like Christmas :)
ReplyDeletewoo hoo- this deserves another comment - just to say, I'm sooo glad I can FINALLY comment on your updates!!! YAHOO!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you can comment also!! I still can't comment from work - what worked for you?
ReplyDeleteI love Thanksgiving - it's always been my favorite holiday (maybe because I love turkey and sweet potatoes so much) but this Thanksgiving will be special. That weekend one of my husband's aunts will have a 100th birthday party thrown for her. Her 100th birthday won't be until January but they figured, family will be down in the area for Thanksgiving anyway, so why not? I'm looking forward to celebrating the life of a wonderful woman!
